Well, I did a bit of digging. I asked some of our manufacturers and also did a deep dive into the trends of Silver and Gold. It's actually reeeeeeeally boring stuff 🥱 but I'll enlighten you a little for context and understanding.
Apparently, Silver demand is crazy right now as a safe investment!
First, let's take a quick trip back into history ...
People through time, often held their Silver as a form of portable wealth or family heirloom during financial crises to "get by". This is due to the fact that silver retains value, it served as a traditional, reliable store of wealth that could potentially be liquidated, especially before modern banking. Or it was even used for quick cash back in the day.
I remember 🤔 my Mother sharing stories like this with me as a child. Showing me my past family members jewellery and items. Sharing the stories behind each piece and teaching me how to appreciate and look after these valuable items. There were stories of high end Silver Tea Service sets and Silver Travel Accessories and of course Silver Jewellery 💍. It seems history does indeed repeat and in current times, the demand lies primarily with physical shortages that are causing manufacturing supply constraints, boosting prices significantly. Soooooo, long story short .. the demand for silver has exceeded supply.
